Company Overview: Our client is a dynamic and innovative national planning With a focus on excellence and a dedication to delivering a high-quality planning service, we are seeking either a Senior Town Planner or Associate Town Planner (MRTPI) with experience of working on commercial and/or industrial projects to join our client's team in Manchester.

Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Town Planner or Associate Town Planner with full membership to the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI). The successful candidate will play a key role in our client's commercial and industrial projects, contributing their expertise to shape the built environment and ensure the successful development of diverse projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Alongside the Directors in the team, run a variety of commercial and industrial projects from inception to completion.
  • Provide expert advice on planning policies and land use related to commercial and industrial developments.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to inform planning strategies and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and local authorities to build effective relationships and navigate planning processes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, changes in planning legislation, and emerging best practices to inform project strategies.

Requirements:

  • Full membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) is essential.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Town Planner, with experience of working on Commercial and/or Industrial projects
  • Strong understanding of planning policies and the wider UK planning system.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects, ensuring timely and successful outcomes.
  • In-depth knowledge of the planning process, including experience in obtaining planning permissions for complex projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Town Planning or a related field.
  • MRTPI qualification is mandatory.

Salary - £35,000 - £46,000 plus car allowance, a highly competitive annual bonus and a wider benefits package.
