My specialism:

Recruiting General Practice RICS Surveyors in the South West and South Wales.

Clients that I work with:

I recruit RICS accredited surveyors for global property consultancies, property companies, developers, investors and institutions as well as initiating team and small company acquisitions. This includes surveyors working in the following disciplines: Valuation, Lease Consultancy, Property & Estate Management, Development, Investment, Asset Management, Agency and Acquisition. I also recruit in niche and alternative asset classes such as PRS, BTR and Student etc.

What keeps me motivated:

The satisfaction of creating a new opportunity for someone is very motivating especially if it’s an off-market piece of recruitment. I’m also genuinely motivated by developing new business relationships and recruitment partnerships.

What I do differently:

I’m Managing Director of Beach Baker and oversee our specialist teams which include Real Estate, Property & Construction, Town Planning and Business Change & Transformation. I like an open and honest conversation and enjoy getting to know people.

What keeps me busy at the weekend:

Spending quality time with my family and young son, we like to get outdoors and love a good day trip. I also like keeping fit, eating good food, going on hikes and rugby.

My approach to recruitment:

Meeting my clients and candidates face to face and building partnerships. I believe in a tailored, personal and pragmatic approach. I like to understand and listen to my clients and I welcome an honest conversation.

My favourite meal:

Green Thai curry and I always have porridge every morning for breakfast.

My favourite film:

Its difficult to choose one as I'm a big fan of many films but Prometheus and Inception are up there.

My favourite drink:

Tribute Pale Ale from Cornwall.

My favourite travel destinations:

The Cornish coast, or Tuscany, especially the Siena and Florence region with great Italian food.

Not many people know this about me:

My Auntie Helen was Prime Minister of New Zealand for ten years.
