Wednesday, March 11, 2026

Members of Women in Property and the British Council for Offices (BCO) gathered for an exclusive opportunity to step inside the iconic waterfront office building ahead of its major redevelopment. The visit marked the first in a planned series of site tours, offering attendees a rare chance to explore the property in its untouched condition before construction works begin.

During the tour, the project team walked the group through their initial vision for the scheme, outlining ambitions to modernise the building and reposition it for today’s occupier needs. Attendees gained valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities involved in retrofitting a large office asset—particularly when balancing heritage, sustainability goals, and evolving workplace expectations.
The team shared first‑hand perspectives on the design approach, environmental considerations, and the broader aspirations for the rejuvenation of Canons Wharf. While the building is set for a complete reimagining, the event highlighted the care being taken to ensure its future aligns with Bristol’s dynamic commercial landscape.
And, as any early morning site visit attendee will agree, the coffee and pastries were a welcome bonus too.
