IWFM Women in FM and Rising FMs Summer Social 2019
Thursday, August 1, 2019
Belinda Sheridan our Facilities Management consultant sits on the Rising FMs committee, part of the IWFM. This summer the Rising FMs and Women in FM joined forces to host an exciting silent disco on the roof terrace of the Verde building in Victoria and take a look at how the Verde Building has been designed with wellbeing in mind.
This event aimed to provide attendees with information around wellbeing in the work environment, an opportunity to network with likeminded facilities professionals and to have a bit of fun. Attendees were given an insight into how this new, trophy building was designed and constructed to support the wellbeing and social influences which dictate how we are in our workspace environment. The silent disco idea came from an awareness of noise pollution which is an issue for any office complex, but the silent disco enabled attendees to relax and enjoy a workspace environment without disturbing those tenants. Savills, the managing agent, have also developed some great initiatives to recycle products that are on show in the reception area of the Verde building.
The special summer event was sponsored by iRecycle Waste Management Limited, Janitorial Express and Incentive QAS Ltd and the guest speakers included; Nick Adams, FM Manager at The Verde Building & Elliot Lancaster, iRecycle.
