International Women's Day 2021

Friday, March 12, 2021
For the last day of our inaugural International Women's Week, I wanted to post about a book that I have recently finished reading:- Caroline Criado Perez's 'Invisible Women: Exposing Data Bias in a World Designed For Men'.

This is an absolute must-read for ANYONE interested in how we are all not only victim to invisible/unconscious bias, but how this bias has subsequently affected (and continues to influence) our world today. Criado Perez analyses the effects of this in a variety of environments, from media and medicine to urban planning and construction (therefore rendering it extremely relevant to the majority of my connections!).

If you are interested in a well-researched study on gender bias in the past and present day, this is one for you.

A massive thank you to my Beach Baker colleagues, Marie Skuce and Leanne Stagg, for a very interesting and enlightening International Women's Week!
