Beach Baker Team Serves Up Fun and Friendly Competition at the Origin Padel Tournament

Friday, March 6, 2026

Represented by Rupert Stuart‑Baker, Dan Cole, Matthew Clackson, Adam Burroughs, and Amelia Messenger, the team embraced a brilliant afternoon of sport, networking, and plenty of laughter.

For Amelia—who joined the event for the first time—it was a memorable change of pace:

“Did I win? No. Did I laugh, meet great people, and accidentally invent new shot techniques? Absolutely!”

She added a few takeaways from the day:
1️⃣ The walls are part of the game.
2️⃣ Coordination is… a work in progress.
3️⃣ Trying something new can be genuinely fun.

Rupert echoed the team spirit and friendly competitiveness of the event:

“We narrowly missed out on a semi‑final place, but it was a brilliant afternoon of competition, laughs and plenty of on‑court action. Huge well done to everyone who took part — and congratulations to the winners, Bamber Education.”

With participants from across the local business community, the tournament continues to grow in popularity each year, and the standard of play is rising just as quickly. The Beach Baker team enjoyed the challenge—and the camaraderie—and are already thinking ahead to next year’s event.

Whether mastering padel techniques, forging new connections, or simply enjoying a Friday out of the office, the afternoon was a smashing success.
