Join a Growing and Dynamic Planning Team in Cheshire

Are you an experienced Planning Consultant looking to join a motivated and expanding team? We're working with an established consultancy in Cheshire that's looking for a new team member to help deliver high-quality planning consultancy services.

As part of the Planning Team, you'll work closely with colleagues across the business to identify new opportunities and build client relationships. You'll take the lead on exciting and diverse planning projects, from rural diversification schemes to changes of use and bespoke residential developments.

This is a full-time, permanent role with a 37.5-hour week (Monday to Friday), and hybrid working options are available to offer flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and prioritise your own caseload while ensuring high-quality work and service to clients.
  • Conduct initial site reviews and develop site-specific strategies.
  • Provide tailored advice to clients on a variety of planning matters.
  • Prepare, submit, and manage planning applications, including drafting reports for various projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, Planning Officers, Councillors, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead project meetings and collaborate with a wide range of professionals, including architects, landscape consultants, and ecologists.
  • Negotiate effectively to secure the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Support team members by sharing advice, managing workloads, and contributing to projects.
  • Oversee budgets, time recording, and invoicing.

What We're Looking For:

  • Ideally MRTPI qualified or nearing submission.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and a team-oriented individual.
  • Proficient in IT and Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • A solid understanding of the planning market.

Why This Opportunity?

This consultancy offers a hybrid working approach, allowing you to structure your workday to suit your needs. Some days will involve collaborating with the team in the office, while other days will allow you to focus on project work from home. You'll be part of a supportive, digitally connected team and will have access to a variety of social activities, from sports events to CPD days and casual meetups.

With a rich history and a presence across multiple sectors, this consultancy is a great place to build your career in a dynamic and growing environment.

If you're looking to take the next step in your planning career with an exciting and forward-thinking team, we'd love to hear from you!
