Senior Surveyor (Affordable Housing Valuation)

London

Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum + car allowance £5k

Beach Baker are delighted to be working with a true market-leading company. This role allows you to engage with clients, internal teams, and contribute to the development of affordable housing and regeneration solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting valuations for affordable housing providers, local authorities, and private clients to support land acquisition, new home developments, and disposals.
  • Preparing detailed valuation reports and recommendations in compliance with RICS guidelines.
  • Building strong client relationships to understand their challenges and provide tailored solutions.
  • Delivering robust viability advice to aid key decision-making processes, supporting projects such as new housing developments and urban regeneration.

Example projects you might work on:

  • Advising a government department on the viability of a significant housing development in London.
  • Conducting a red book valuation for land acquisition to build affordable homes.
  • Updating valuation reports to support shared ownership home sales.
  • Producing market reviews for town centre regeneration projects.
  • The role is based in a central London office with excellent transport links.

About you:

  • Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer
  • 3+ years PQE
  • Experience in affordable housing valuation or a strong interest in developing these skills.
  • Familiarity with Argus Developer and financial appraisals.
  • Enthusiasm for diverse projects and a desire to grow within the valuation team and broader business.
  • A proactive approach to expanding the housing, viability, and regeneration offering.
