This position is within the firm's commercial planning team which includes projects within commercial, mixed-use, retail, office, industrial, leisure and hotels sectors. You will be working with an impressive client base consisting of high profile operators, foodstores, high street retailers, luxury brands, leisure chains and be offering them bespoke planning advice. As a Senior Planner you will be involved with site appraisals, feasibility studies, planning statements, preparing and submitting planning applications, S106 negotiations, public consultation work, policy representations, site promotion, coordinating external project teams, networking, building and maintaining client relationships, working to tight deadlines, managing small-medium scale schemes as well as supporting on larger projects. There is plenty of scope for client contact and this firm is great with progression and encouraging you to reach your potential.

We are looking for MRTPI candidates with private sector experience, either from a consultancy or developer led background. Public sector experience is advantageous but should be complimented by some time in the private sector. In terms of project experience, a 'generalist' would be a good fit to be able to confidently take on the variety of schemes the team deal with. Any experience in commercial and/or retail led schemes is an obvious advantage but not essential.

The team is a particularly enjoyable team to work for with a great team spirit environment, a very profitable team to be part of with an impressive client base, a supportive environment and a great progression path. The firm reward their staff well with a strong benefits package, profit share system and competitive pay. This really is an excellent opportunity.
