Senior Planner: Client-side

Location: Bristol

Salary: 34 - 42K (Negotiable depending on level of experience and aligning skills)

The Role

This is a brand-new role to the business and is required due to natural growth and increasing ambitions to remain the top competitor of their niche sector.

You will be working within a team of 7 professionals who work collaboratively with the same overarching goal.

Responsibilities will include:

Providing high standards of in-house planning for long term master planning, development projects at both a hands on and strategic business level.

Delivering discharge of planning conditions and S106 obligations to enable transformational projects.

Managing delivery of applications for planning permissions and development rights.

Drafting responses to local and regional planning policy consultation when required.

Keeping up to date with government planning related policy and guidance.

Representing the firm at high profile meetings with external stakeholders.

Supporting the development of effective personal relationships with various local authorities.

Working closely with the sustainability team and reporting directly to the Planning Manager.

To be considered, it is essential to have:

An RTPI accredited degree

Experience within the Town Planning public or private sector.

Sound knowledge of planning legislation

A track record in building effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

Ability to work independently, and as part of a team.


MRTPI chartership or working towards.

Experience of working on major infrastructure projects.

A passion for sustainability.
