A high‑performing, well‑respected property and rural consultancy is seeking a Rural / General Practice Surveyor to join their busy Professional Services team. This is a full‑time, permanent opportunity offering real scope for progression and involvement in business development.
This position will suit a driven, qualified surveyor with a proactive mindset, strong professional skills and a proven ability to build business and develop contacts. The work is varied, fast‑paced and rewarding, providing exposure to a broad mix of rural professional instructions.
The Role
You will undertake a wide range of work including:
- Valuations across multiple asset types
- Farm and land agency
- Compensation and compulsory purchase matters
- Landlord and tenant work
- Grant and subsidy support
- Day‑to‑day land agency tasks
Direct experience across all areas isn't essential, but a broad interest in rural practice and the desire to develop your skill set is key.
There is excellent potential for long‑term career growth, increased responsibility and active involvement in developing the client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing your own caseload and professional instructions
- Pitching for new work and supporting wider business development
- Providing high‑quality professional advice across a range of rural and property matters
- Conducting RICS valuations, agency/disposals, compensation work, grants and subsidies, rural planning and landlord/tenant matters
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in a similar rural or general practice role
- MRICS essential; FAAV preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Proven ability to win work and develop professional contacts
- Clean driving licence and access to own vehicle
