An established and independent firm of Rural Chartered Surveyors is seeking a skilled and motivated rural surveyor to join their team. The firm specialises in rural consultancy, planning, development, and utility sectors. The team offers a comprehensive range of professional services and advice, including planning and development, sales, tenancies, valuation, property management, and agricultural grants. Job Role

The ideal candidate will be an experienced rural surveyor with a positive attitude and a desire to contribute to the growth of a dynamic team. The role involves planning and development work, valuation, compensation claims, tenancy and farming agreements, stewardship grant applications, commercial property management, and general property advice. The primary service areas include Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, and Buckinghamshire, with occasional projects further afield. Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic land promotion and commercial development
  • Waste applications and barn conversion schemes
  • Rural business and farm diversification projects
  • Property valuation and management
  • Compensation claims and stewardship grant applications
  • Tenancy and farming agreements
  • General property advice and commercial property management

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in rural surveying
  • Strong skills in planning and development
  • Ability to manage a diverse range of rural property matters
  • A positive attitude and willingness to introduce new ideas and skills to the team
  • Full UK driving licence
