Job Description

Rural Surveyor / Future Partner

West Norfolk | Hybrid Working | Exceptional Career Opportunity

Our client is a long-established and highly respected rural property consultancy with a strong reputation across East Anglia. Due to continued growth and an exceptionally busy workload, they are looking to appoint an experienced Rural Surveyor to join their expanding team. Based in West Norfolk, the practice advises a diverse portfolio of estates, farmers, landowners and rural businesses across the region

This opportunity would suit an experienced Chartered Surveyor seeking greater responsibility and influence within a successful independent practice. While the ideal candidate may already be operating at Associate or Partner level, the firm is equally keen to hear from ambitious surveyors with strong experience and a desire to progress. A clear route to Partnership exists for the right individual.

The Role

The practice undertakes a broad range of rural professional work and is flexible in shaping the role around the successful candidate's expertise and interests.

Areas of work include:

  • Estate Management
  • Rural Professional Services
  • Valuation
  • Agency and Land Transactions
  • Farm Business Consultancy
  • Landlord & Tenant Matters
  • Environmental and Agri-environment Schemes
  • Strategic Development
  • Compulsory Purchase and Compensation
  • Renewable Energy and Diversification Projects

Whether your background is predominantly estate management, professional work, or a more specialist area such as renewables, our client is keen to build upon existing strengths within the team.

The Opportunity

The business has invested significantly in its future, having strengthened its leadership team with new Partner appointments and now looking to continue that growth. With succession planning firmly in mind, this position offers a genuine chance to become an influential part of the firm's future direction.

Alongside a varied and rewarding workload, the successful candidate will benefit from:

  • A genuine pathway to Partnership
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements
  • Competitive salary and benefits
  • Strong quality client base
  • Significant autonomy and responsibility
  • Supportive and collaborative working environment

The Culture

Staff retention is excellent, reflecting the firm's friendly and professional culture. Team members speak highly of the variety of work, the supportive atmosphere and the opportunity to develop long-term careers within the business. It is a close-knit team that combines traditional values with a modern approach to rural consultancy

Candidate Profile

Applicants should be:

  • MRICS qualified (or equivalent)
  • Commercially aware and client-focused
  • Capable of building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Interested in developing a long-term career within an independent practice
  • Keen to play a meaningful role in the future growth of the business
