Rural Chartered Surveyor - Derbyshire

Are you an experienced rural surveyor looking for your next challenge?

A leading firm in the Midlands is expanding its professional team and seeking a talented individual with a passion for rural property and land management. This is a rare opportunity to join a respected organisation with a strong reputation in agricultural consultancy, property auctions, and estate management.

The Role

You'll be involved in a wide variety of rural surveying work, including:

  • Valuations for agricultural and rural property
  • Estate and land management for a diverse client base
  • Agricultural tenancy matters, including succession and rent reviews
  • Compulsory purchase and compensation for infrastructure and utility projects
  • Planning and development, including promotion and option agreements
  • Environmental and agri-environment schemes, with a focus on Natural Capital, Biodiversity Net Gain, and emerging land use markets

You'll also contribute to strategic advice for farming businesses, supporting diversification and long-term planning.

Candidate Profile

We're looking for surveyors who bring:

  • A strong track record in rural property consultancy
  • Excellent client relationship skills
  • A proactive, independent working style
  • A collaborative mindset and interest in mentoring or team development

Requirements:

  • RICS qualification (essential)
  • VRS registration (desirable)
  • CAAV membership or willingness to obtain
  • Experience as a fee earner in a professional setting
  • Familiarity with relevant digital tools and software
