Job Description

Rural Estates Manager - up to Partner level

Shropshire

We are working with a well-established and highly regarded rural property consultancy to recruit an experienced Chartered Rural Surveyor.

This opportunity has arisen due to increased workload across a growing client portfolio, making it an excellent time to join a busy and expanding team.

The Opportunity

This is a broad and flexible role offering a mix of Estate Management and professional consultancy work, depending on your experience and interests.

The position will involve managing a portfolio of smaller private estates across Shropshire, Cheshire and/or Mid Wales, alongside the opportunity to undertake a range of professional instructions.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Day-to-day rural estate management
  • Landlord & tenant matters
  • Property and asset management
  • Building strong, long-term client relationships

In addition, there is scope to be involved in:

  • Rural valuations (including lender work)
  • Compulsory Purchase (CPO)
  • Renewable energy and diversification projects

The role is ideally full-time, with a healthy balance between site visits and office working

About You

We are keen to speak with surveyors who are commercially aware, client-focused and comfortable working across a varied rural portfolio.

Key requirements:

  • MRICS/FRICS qualified (or close to qualification)
  • Experience in estate management and/or rural professional work
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • A proactive, self-sufficient approach
  • Full UK driving licence

We are open to candidates at a range of levels - from those looking to consolidate their experience through to individuals with the ambition and capability to progress towards senior or equity partner level.

Why Apply?

  • Varied workload across quality private estates
  • Exposure to both management and professional disciplines
  • Clear pathway for career progression and leadership
  • Supportive and well-resourced team environment
  • Strong regional presence and client base

If you're looking for a well-rounded rural surveying role with genuine progression prospects and autonomy, we'd be delighted to discuss this opportunity further.
