Overview

We're looking for a proactive, collaborative Estate Manager who's passionate about nature recovery, sustainable farming, and modern land stewardship. This permanent role is ideal for someone who wants to drive landscape‑scale environmental improvement while supporting successful rural businesses and strong tenant relationships.

You'll work closely with farm tenants, countryside and project teams, and a range of partners to deliver a forward‑thinking land management approach. Your ability to build trust and bring people together will be essential in navigating the challenges and opportunities of upland environments.

What You Can Expect

You'll join a team managing a diverse Estate portfolio where strong relationships, clear communication, and professional estate management are crucial to long‑term success.

This role offers:

  • A varied and rewarding workload
  • A stunning and dynamic working environment across South Yorkshire
  • The opportunity to influence significant conservation and climate‑focused initiatives
  • Hybrid working, combining office, home, and regular site visits

Key Responsibilities

As Estate Manager, you will:

  • Work with tenants, land‑use specialists, conservation teams, and other partners to deliver progressive, sustainable estate management
  • Advise the wider property team on land-use matters and contribute to strategic decision‑making
  • Act as the main point of contact for tenants and stakeholders, maintaining strong, positive relationships
  • Manage the estate professionally and proactively, ensuring delivery against environmental, conservation, and climate‑related goals
  • Play a key role in the leadership team for the portfolio

About You

We'd love to hear from you if you bring:

  • Strong knowledge of land use, agriculture, land and asset management, conservation, environmental issues, and sustainable development
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
  • Experience managing budgets and overseeing projects
  • A solutions‑driven approach with the ability to turn strategy into delivery
  • An understanding of the challenges and opportunities specific to upland farming
