Beach Baker is delighted to be exclusively representing a highly regarded independent firm of Chartered Surveyors in the search for a Chartered Valuation Surveyor to join its established Plymouth office.
Due to a substantial increase in instructions from high street lenders and existing clients, our client is seeking an additional surveyor to help support a busy and growing valuation team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected regional practice with a strong reputation, high-quality client base and a healthy pipeline of work from day one.

The Role
Based from the Plymouth office, you will undertake a broad range of valuation assignments across Devon and the wider South West region.
Responsibilities will include:
- Loan security valuations for major lending institutions
- Valuations for pension funds, private clients and corporate owners
- Commercial, residential and development property valuations
- Inspection, analysis and reporting in accordance with RICS Red Book standards
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Whilst lending work forms a significant part of the workload, the role offers excellent variety across a diverse range of property types and clients.
About You
The successful candidate is likely to possess:
- MRICS or FRICS qualification
- RICS Registered Valuer status
- Experience undertaking Red Book valuations
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Commercial awareness and a client-focused approach
- A proactive and collaborative attitude
- Full UK driving licence
Candidates with a broad General Practice or Valuation background are encouraged to apply.
