Job Description

Land Agent / Rural Surveyor

I'm working with a highly respected national consultancy who are looking to appoint an MRICS-qualified Rural Surveyor to join their established Rural Team in Leicestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their work and wants to build a long-term career within a supportive, forward-thinking firm.

This role would suit a surveyor with a few years of post-qualification experience who is confident dealing directly with clients and keen to broaden their exposure across the rural property sector.

The Role

In this position, you'll be advising a diverse rural client base and working across a wide range of professional work, including:

  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Advising on rural property matters such as agricultural tenancies and land use
  • Carrying out accurate and detailed valuations
  • Providing advice on compulsory purchase, utilities and compensation matters
  • Supporting rural planning and development projects
  • Assisting with infrastructure scheme delivery
  • Contributing to farm agency and wider Land Agency work

You'll be encouraged to take ownership of your work while also being supported by an experienced and collaborative team.

About You

I'm keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • MRICS qualification (CAAV advantageous)
  • Strong knowledge of rural property, estate management and valuation
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation ability
  • A full UK driving licence

That said, this employer is genuinely open-minded. If you don't tick every box but feel this role aligns with your experience and ambitions, I would still encourage you to apply.

What's On Offer

My client offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support both your career and wellbeing, including:

  • 25 days' holiday, increasing to 28 days with service
  • Life assurance (4x basic salary)
  • Private medical cover and Westfield Health cash plan (post-probation)
  • Travel insurance (post-probation)
  • Salary sacrifice pension scheme
  • Enhanced family-friendly leave policies
  • Holiday buy-back scheme
  • Long service awards
  • One paid volunteering day per year

Working Arrangements

Core working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm. The firm is happy to discuss part-time or flexible working options and operates a smart working policy to support work-life balance.
