Are you ready to advance your career in the infrastructure property sector? Our client, a prominent player in the industry, is seeking ambitious Surveyors at all levels to join their expanding Infrastructure teams in Scotland and the Northwest of England.
About Our Client:
Established in 2015, our client's infrastructure team has grown to include 200 experts across nine offices in the UK. With the recent award of major contracts in northern England and Scotland, they are entering an exciting growth phase and are eager to bring new talent on board in their Edinburgh and Warrington offices.
They work with a diverse range of clients in the Infrastructure, Utility, and Energy sectors, delivering expert services to well-known organisations such as National Grid Transmission, Cadent Gas, Scottish Power Energy Networks, Green Gen, Orsted, Network Rail, and National Highways.
Role Overview:
As a Surveyor, you will have the opportunity to engage with a variety of clients and projects, allowing you to specialise in areas that interest you. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing professional advice on land assembly for utility and infrastructure projects.
- Assessing Injurious Affection claims for electricity operators.
- Negotiating land acquisition and compensation agreements.
- Developing new business relationships and engaging with stakeholders.
- Managing client relationships and supporting senior Partners.
- Guiding and mentoring Graduate Surveyors.
- Contributing to the implementation of best practices and ensuring legal compliance.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for candidates who ideally hold MRICS accreditation or have relevant experience in the utility, energy, or infrastructure sectors. Experience in rural surveying is beneficial, as some projects may involve rural property matters. A solid understanding of legislation related to compulsory purchase and compensation, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, is essential.
Excellent communication skills are crucial for interacting with clients, landowners, and agents. A business development-oriented mindset and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service are key to success in this role. Previous experience in driving projects forward and establishing client relationships will be advantageous. Applications are welcome from all sectors, including those returning from career breaks.
