Surveyor - Infrastructure

We're working with a leading UK property and infrastructure consultancy to appoint a Surveyor into its well‑established Infrastructure Services team in Glasgow.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist division supporting the delivery of nationally significant infrastructure projects across the UK. The team advises clients spanning electricity, gas, water, fibre optics, oil, and renewable energy, playing a key role in creating a more sustainable and resilient infrastructure network.
The role offers genuine variety - combining project management, land consultancy, and stakeholder engagement - and would suit surveyors from a range of professional backgrounds with an interest in large‑scale infrastructure delivery.
The Opportunity
You'll be involved in infrastructure projects from early routing and design stages through to construction and completion, providing professional consultancy support throughout the process. Your work will include:
- Advising on and managing infrastructure projects at local, regional, and national scales
- Providing land consultancy advice relating to both new installations and maintenance of existing apparatus
- Advising clients on landowner engagement and managing all aspects of landowner interaction
- Land referencing and the preparation and service of statutory notices
- Negotiating compensation settlements and securing rights and acquisitions to enable project delivery
- Liaising directly with landowners and responding to public enquiries
- Reporting regularly to clients on project progress
- Supporting wider and ad‑hoc infrastructure projects across the business
- Undertaking additional training and development to broaden technical capability and support team growth
About You
This role is open to individuals from a broad surveying background who are comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and working across complex projects.
You're likely to bring:
- MRICS or AssocRICS qualification
- Strong project management capability
- Excellent IT skills
- Confident communication and negotiation skills at all levels
- The ability to self‑manage workloads and meet deadlines
- Experience building long‑term client relationships and contributing to business development
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and written ability
Working Arrangements & Benefits
This is a permanent, full‑time role based on 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday), though part‑time and flexible working (minimum 22.5 hours) will be considered. A hybrid working policy allows a mix of office, home, and site‑based working.
