An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Rural Surveyor / Land Agent to join a highly regarded and well-established property consultancy operating in the East Midlands. This firm is known for its independent, multi-disciplinary approach, providing expert advice and services across residential, commercial, and rural sectors.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate seeking to build a long-term career in rural surveying. You'll gain hands-on experience working closely with senior professionals across a diverse range of rural property matters-from estate management and valuations to renewable energy and planning.

The Role

You will be supporting a busy and growing rural team, involved in a broad range of work including:

  • Estate and property management
  • Diversification and rural planning
  • Valuations, taxation, and succession planning
  • Landlord and tenant matters (FBTs, Grazing Licences, Contract Farming Agreements)
  • Guidance on agri-environment schemes and grant applications
  • Sales and acquisitions of land and property
  • Infrastructure and utility compensation claims
  • Renewable energy projects

Candidate Profile

  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject
  • Ambition to work towards professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, CAAV)
  • Some relevant experience is beneficial but not essential
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office
  • Proactive and commercially minded
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • Motivated, honest, and a strong team player
