Beach Baker is delighted to be working with a well-established, privately owned retail business to recruit an Estates Surveyor into their London-based team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing, close-knit property team responsible for a significant UK & Ireland store portfolio across shopping centres, retail parks and high streets. The business has undergone a period of transformation, with a refined estate strategy and strong recent performance.
You will work closely with senior leadership, playing a key role in driving value and performance across the portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a nationwide retail portfolio, supporting the delivery of the overall property strategy
* Negotiating lease renewals, rent reviews, regears and new store acquisitions directly with landlords and agents
* Working closely with finance teams to appraise deals and assess store profitability
* Liaising with legal teams to ensure transactions are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively
* Collaborating with internal stakeholders to support store refits and new openings
* Managing relationships with landlords, managing agents and external consultants
* Supporting on rating and service charge matters alongside specialist advisors
* Sharing market insight and contributing to strategic decision-making

What We're Looking For:
- MRICS qualified
* 3-5 years' experience in retail property, either in private practice or client-side
* Strong landlord & tenant experience, including rent reviews and lease renewals
* Commercial mindset with the ability to link property decisions to business performance
* Confident negotiator with excellent communication skills
* Organised and able to work at pace across a busy portfolio
