Beach Baker is delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded and market-leading property consultancy to recruit a Senior Surveyor or Associate into its thriving Commercial Valuation team in Bristol.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious MRICS surveyor to join one of the UK's most respected valuation practices, working with an exceptional client base across a broad range of commercial asset classes. The successful candidate will play a key role in a growing team, benefiting from strong leadership, high-quality instructions and genuine opportunities for career progression.
The Opportunity
Working as part of an established and collaborative valuation team, you will undertake a wide variety of commercial valuations across the South West and beyond, including:
- Offices
- Industrial & Logistics
- Retail
- Mixed-use and investment assets
The team acts for an impressive range of clients including major clearing banks, international lenders, debt funds, property companies, institutional investors and asset managers, providing a diverse and intellectually engaging workload.
In addition to technical valuation work, the role offers significant client exposure and the opportunity to work closely with investment, agency and wider professional services teams across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake Red Book valuations for loan security, accounts and strategic advisory purposes
- Inspect properties and undertake detailed due diligence
- Produce accurate and well-reasoned valuation reports
- Utilise Argus Enterprise, Argus Developer and Excel-based financial models
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Collaborate closely with agency, investment and capital markets teams
- Ensure compliance with RICS standards, lender requirements and internal quality procedures
- Monitor market activity and identify emerging trends affecting valuation advice
About You
You are likely to be:
- MRICS qualified and a proven commercial valuer
- Experienced in undertaking RICS Red Book valuations
- Comfortable valuing a range of commercial property types
- Proficient in Argus Enterprise and/or Argus Developer
- Strong numerically, analytically and technically
- A confident communicator with excellent report-writing skills
- Commercially aware with a proactive and client-focused approach
- Able to manage deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
