Job Description

Building Surveyor - Neighbourly Matters / Boundary Disputes Specialist

Location: London
Salary: Competitive (DOE)

We are working with a highly respected, specialist building surveying consultancy that is looking to appoint a Building Surveyor to join its growing team in London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to develop a long-term specialism in boundary disputes and neighbourly matters, supported by a team of recognised experts in this niche field.

The Role

You will join a busy and well-established team, working across a strong pipeline of residential and commercial instructions. The role will focus on boundary-related matters and wider neighbourly issues, with full training and development provided.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and delivering work on boundary disputes and related matters
  • Assisting with Party Wall instructions and associated professional services
  • Producing high-quality reports and technical advice
  • Managing client relationships and contributing to dispute resolution processes
  • Handling instructions independently, with support where required

About You

This opportunity would suit a surveyor who is:

  • MRICS qualified, working towards APC, or planning to enrol
  • Interested in developing a technical specialism in boundaries and disputes
  • Ideally experienced in Party Wall matters
  • Confident working both independently and as part of a specialist team
  • Strong in report writing, analysis, and professional communication

The Opportunity

  • Clear pathway to develop deep expertise in a niche and highly sought-after area
  • Exposure to complex, high-level instructions
  • Work alongside leading specialists in neighbourly matters and dispute resolution
  • Supportive environment with real career progression

Why Apply?

This is an excellent opportunity to step into a specialist role where you can build a genuine area of expertise, rather than remain a generalist, while working on high-quality and varied instructions.
