My client, a leading independent property consultancy with a strong UK presence, is expanding their high-performing Valuation & Investment Advisory team. With a reputation for excellence across planning, development, valuations, and transactions, they support a diverse range of public and private sector clients.
As demand continues to grow, my client is looking for an Associate to specialise in portfolio-based valuation work, particularly for public sector clients with investment assets.
👥 About the Team
The team is structured across:
- Commercial Valuation
- Specialist Valuation
- Investment Advisory
They deliver services including asset valuations, secured lending, credit assessments, portfolio strategy, and expert witness support-all underpinned by deep valuation expertise.
🎯 Role Overview
This is a pivotal role offering the chance to:
- Deliver high-quality valuation advice
- Mentor junior surveyors
- Contribute to a growing, collaborative team
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Conduct portfolio valuations for operational and investment assets (e.g. civic buildings, leisure facilities)
- Deliver valuations for acquisitions, disposals, and under Section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972
- Support development appraisals, asset reviews, and viability assessments
- Collaborate across teams and maintain strong client relationships
📌 Main Duties
- Apply RICS Red Book standards to investment, development, and financial reporting valuations
- Act as a trusted advisor, offering strategic insights
- Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to team development
- Stay ahead of market trends and represent the firm at industry events
✅ What We're Looking For
- MRICS qualified with strong Red Book valuation experience
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and strategic
- Excellent communication and report writing skills
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Argus (Enterprise & Developer)
