Associate Partner - Chartered Building Surveyor

London | Multi‑Disciplinary Property Consultancy

I'm working with a highly respected, multi‑disciplinary consultancy that is looking for an experienced RICS Chartered Building Surveyor to join their London Building Consultancy team as an Associate Partner. This role offers the chance to lead on significant client work, contribute to business growth and play a key part in the development of a well‑established team.

The London Building Consultancy team comprises 14 professionals, including 8 Building Surveyors across a strong blend of experience levels:
* 3 Partners
* 2 Associate Partners
* 1 Senior Surveyor
* 2 Graduates/Apprentices

The office is based close to Bond Street station, working alongside colleagues across planning, commercial, infrastructure and other specialisms-making it an excellent environment for cross‑disciplinary collaboration.

Key clients you'll work with include:
Private clients, London Fire Brigade, London Borough of Haringey, Hitachi, plus a range of blue‑chip organisations.

Typical projects you will be involved in include:
Technical Due Diligence (TDD), dilapidations, high‑end residential fit‑outs, Schedules of Condition (SOC), Reinstatement Cost Assessments (RCA) and wider professional and project services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver the full spectrum of building surveying services across commercial and residential portfolios.
  • Support colleagues across the Building Consultancy team and assist with workload sharing.
  • Undertake detailed surveys on a wide range of asset types.
  • Prepare Schedules of Dilapidations and manage related negotiations.
  • Lead project work including refurbishment, conversion and new‑build schemes, acting as contract administrator and project manager.
  • Prepare feasibility studies and coordinate with other internal disciplines.
  • Undertake Principal Designer duties for smaller schemes in accordance with CDM 2015.
  • Deliver Party Wall services under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996.
  • Prepare and negotiate Schedules of Condition.
  • Advise on planned preventative maintenance strategies.
  • Investigate building defects and develop clear recommendations for clients.
  • Carry out development monitoring on behalf of landlords, tenants and lenders.
  • Deliver Reinstatement Cost Assessments across a variety of property types.
  • Support and mentor junior team members, helping to develop their skills and performance.
  • Undertake additional duties where required to ensure smooth departmental operations.
