S.O.S Boat Party

Friday, October 18, 2013

August saw some wonderful weather and the opportunity to hit the high seas was not to be missed.

The Beach Baker and Zest Design & Marketing event aptly named by Andrew Burt the S.O.S (Surveyor’s Organised Social); saw a group of surveyors from Bristol climb aboard the Tower Belle for a Harbourside cruise.

Launching off from The Stable the Tower Belle set sail for an evening of networking and of course drinking. As the surveyors toured the Bristol Harbourside, business cards were collected for an evening raffle draw for a lovely bottle of champagne. Through the course of the evening the boat moored up along the way at The Apple, the Grain Barge and The Cottage giving everyone aboard the chance to have plenty of drinks and some great opportunities to network.

As the evening progressed out came the Ibiza club tunes, giving those who like to dance the perfect opportunity. After plenty of drinks and dancing aboard it was time to draw the raffle…. and the winner of a bottle of champagne went to… Scott Robinson from Hartnell Taylor Cook! And so the evening ended on a high returning back to The Stable bar, everyone sufficiently inebriated.

For one young graduate however the S.O.S event proved just too much for him to handle as he was found slumped asleep at the bar, he then when awakened, preceded to throw up overboard, he clearly hasn’t got the sea legs required for a Bristol Harbour tour, especially one which includes a beer or two. We are all looking forward to the next S.O.S event on Thursday 21st November, this time in the much less sea faring location of Racks for an evening of drinks and networking.
