Real Tennis with Origin Workspace

This June Dan Cole & Rupert Stuart-Baker took part in their first game of Real Tennis thanks to Origin workspace.

And in case you didn’t know; Real Tennis, also known as court tennis or royal tennis, is a historic and intricate racket sport that dates back to the medieval era. It is regarded as the precursor to modern tennis. Played indoors on a uniquely shaped court with various walls, galleries, and openings, Real Tennis involves two players or pairs competing to hit a ball using a solid racket across the net and into designated areas on the court.

Unlike its modern counterpart, Real Tennis courts have uneven and complex layouts, featuring sloping roofs, penthouses, and numerous obstacles that challenge players to strategically use the walls to their advantage. The rules and scoring of Real Tennis are distinct from modern tennis, adding an additional layer of complexity to the game. The sport requires a combination of precision, strategy, and physical skill, as players must navigate the court's intricacies while considering the ball's trajectory and their opponent's positioning.

The pair had a great time so I’m sure it won’t be the last of Real Tennis for team BB.
