Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Planner to join a leading consultancy in Edinburgh based in the city centre. You will be joining a very established planning team part of a larger multi-disciplinary office. This is an excellent time to join the team with the company heavily invested in their growth. They are a well-known brand nationally for all of their disciplines and have a very strong reputation in planning.

You will be supporting the team through the preparation of planning applications, planning appraisals and appeals for a range of blue chip clients. This team do a lot of work in the environmental planning realm and are therefore looking for Senior Planners with experience of DCO and EIA processes from a similar environmental planning consultancy environment. Knowledge of waste planning, infrastructure and energy projects is also an advantage.

Candidates will be MRTPI qualified and preferably also IEMA qualified. You should have private sector experience and knowledge of the Scottish market. You should be confident in working on large scale schemes and have excellent project management experience. We are looking for candidates with a can-do attitude and a commercial approach. You should be confident in client facing and presentation situations as well as liaising/managing consultancy teams of various specialist disciplines. You should have excellent report writing skills and be organised in nature.
