A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Town Planner to join an expanding planning consultancy in Bristol. This firm are a multi-discipline organisation with planning at their core. They have a very strong name in the industry and a well-established client base.
This is a full-time position and offers the chance to work on an exciting variation of projects. You will be working on a wide portfolio of work to include; residential, mixed-use, commercial, rural, heritage and energy schemes. Your role will include site history research; feasibility studies, writing planning statements, preparing and submitting planning applications, preparing design and access statements, attending site visits and pre-application meetings, preparing evidence to support appeals, site promotion work and providing expert planning advice to a range of clients.
The successful candidate will hold a completed RTPI accredited masters degree and a minimum of 3 years' experience to compliment this. You should be MRTPI qualified and ideally have experience that has been gained in a similar consultancy environment, however local authority experience will also be considered for the right candidate. You should have excellent report writing skills, presentation skills and be confident in client facing situations. You will be working as part of a team but should also be able to work independently to often tight deadlines. You should also have a good understanding of local and regional planning policy and be comfortable running small-medium scale projects with minimal supervision and assisting on larger scale projects with support.
