Our client, a highly respected international property consultancy, is looking for a strong calibre Senior Building Surveyor to join their Central London office. An award winning organisation with a global reach over Europe and major US markets, this is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a well-established firm that prides itself on giving independent and intelligent advice based to public and private sector organisations.

Due to continuing growth, they are now looking for a Senior Building Surveyor to join their Building Consultancy group, advising on commercial property occupiers, developers and owners throughout the UK. The team provide pragmatic technical advice in a commercial context and enjoys strong productive relationships with other parts of the business including Agency, Investment, Valuation and Asset Management teams.

As Senior Building Surveyor, your main responsibilities and duties will include

  • Providing first-rate building consultancy advice to clients in both public and private sectors, located primarily in London and South East England
  • Build a portfolio of key relationships, both internally and externally, built upon technical expertise and outstanding communication skills.
  • Take responsibility within the team for dilapidations, neighbourly matters and due diligence.
  • Assist in managing junior members, ensuring they fulfil their potential.

You will be expected to undertake a wide range of professional services including Technical due diligence surveys, dilapidations advice, building condition reports, schedules of condition, building reinstatement cost assessments, party wall negotiations and neighbourly advice.

The ideal candidate will be MRICS qualified and have a minimum 2 years relevant post qualification experience across a full range working with a consultancy, with full technical ability and up to date knowledge. In addition, you will have wide experience in new building construction types and numeracy skills.
