Beach Baker is working with a leading UK property consultancy to recruit a Facilities Manager who will be responsible for a mixed-use commercial property portfolio in the East Midlands, with locations in Solihull, Coventry, Banbury & Leamington Spa. The portfolio includes office buildings, two small shopping centres and industrial park sites. The FM will be based from home, with regular travel required between the properties.
You will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the properties including; tenant liaison, contractor management, health & safety compliance and preparation and management of the annual service charge budgets. Other responsibilities will involve negotiation of contractor agreements and implementation of environmental initiatives.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. You must have previous experience within a multi-site facilities management role and have a strong understanding of service charge budget management. The ability to coordinate and manage on-site contractors is essential, as is the capability to negotiate 'best price'. The ideal candidate will be a BIFM member and will have worked within a managing agent environment.
