With a turnover of £5.5M, our client is a medium sized carpentry sub-contractor dealing with new build residential projects and is looking for a QS with circa 3-5yrs experience. New build experience would be a beneficial but our client is totally open to other sectors
The QS would report to 2x contract managers. Mostly office based but out on site when needed - transport supplied for these trips if required. Family vibe, looking for someone who can be independent and get on with their work but also has a personality and keen to socialise with the rest of the team
Salary of £45k - £55k depending on experience, plus benefits
Duties will include:
Prepare a list of enquiries at procurement stage and assist with costings at the tendering stage with the Managing Director.
Analyse tender returns and collate information for the Managing Director.
Compile and issue sub contract orders and ensure these are signed and returned along with any supporting documentation.
Issue variation orders if required and ensure relevant documentation is available to substantiate.
Produce monthly valuations and liaise with client if any discrepancies occur.
Agree Final Accounts with clients in a timely manner
Work closely with the Managing Director and Contracts Managers and ensure that all costs are recorded accurately.
Attend site to provide assistance and support both the commercial and operational side of the business.
