Beach Baker is a leading independent recruitment consultancy specialising in the Property sector with offices in London, Bristol and Leeds. Based at our Warwick Street offices in Central London, we are recruiting a graduate (ideally with some previous work experience) to train up to Consultant level over a 9-12 month training period.
After the success of our graduate training programme in 2017, we are delighted to expand our team further with another graduate trainee opportunity in London. This exciting role will enable the successful candidate to utilise their drive and determination to succeed by recruiting professionals from Graduate Surveyors up to Surveying Directors, in the fast-paced and highly lucrative property recruitment industry.
You will be mentored by experienced Principal Consultants and supported by a knowledgeable and lively team, which consists of Graduate Resourcing/Consultants Senior/Managing Consultants, Associate Director and Directors, to ensure that you learn best practice and have the support necessary to forge an exciting and rewarding career within the property recruitment industry. Some work experience (ideally recruitment based) would be an advantage, although this is a consultative sales process where the ability to build strong relationships, understand candidate's often complex work experience, learn the intricacies of this sector and communicate them effectively to clients, will come with time.
The sector: The UK property sector directly employs more than 1 million people and contributes over £94 billion to the UK economy per annum (about 5.4% of the total). Our industry adds over 50 million square feet of new space every year, worth around £12 billion and contributing almost 1% to the UK's GDP. Our industry focuses on the commercial real estate element, which has a market value of £1,662 billion in the UK. Commercial real estate produces a typically significant financial return for its owner, usually in the form of rent. It includes office, retail, industrial, leisure, residential, medical and hotel properties, in what are known as the private rental sector.

You will be working with an established client base, including global property consultancies, FTSE listed firms, developers, property companies, charities, retailers and privately-owned specialist firms, recruiting for many on a preferred supplier basis.
The package: Basic of £22,000-£26,000 (depending on experience) + uncapped commission (likely to be c. £5,000 in Year 1, £10,000-£15,000 Year 2) + a variety of other benefits, including 24 days' holiday (increasing to 30 with length of service) + bank holidays & birthday off + enhanced private pension, childcare vouchers scheme, Iphone, laptop, life insurance, team/company events, professional training, and dress down/earlier finish on Friday.

- Ideally a minimum of 6 months' work experience
- Degree qualified
- A proven track record of achievement, academically, professionally , sporting and/or personally
- Excellent relationship building, presentation and communication skills
- A consultative approach and pride in delivering a service of the highest quality
- A high level of confidence, drive and self-motivation, necessary for a consultative sales environment.
- A willingness to travel as required
