Beach Baker is working with a leading property consultancy to recruit a Facilities Manager who will be responsible for a portfolio of industrial properties across Hertfordshire and Berkshire. This person will be based from home and travel between the properties on a regular basis.
You will be responsible for managing the day to day operations for the portfolio including all hard and soft services; tenant liaison, contractor management, health & safety compliance and preparation and management of the annual service charge budgets. Other responsibilities will involve negotiation of contractor agreements and implementation of environmental initiatives.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. You must have previous experience within a multi-site facilities management role and have a strong understanding of service charge budget management. The ability to coordinate and manage on-site contractors is essential, as is the capability to negotiate 'best price'. The ideal candidate will be a BIFM member and will have worked within a managing agent environment.
