Our client is a globally recognised property management organisation with a strong reputation for delivering an exceptional quality service. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Facilities Manager to take responsibility for a portfolio of properties within the Birmingham region.
You will be responsible for managing the day to day operations for an industrial portfolio including; tenant liaison, contractor management, health & safety compliance and preparation and management of the annual service charge budgets. Other responsibilities will involve negotiation of contractor agreements and implementation of environmental initiatives. Most importantly, my client is seeking a candidate with a proactive and positive attitude to continue building the client relationship and seek out future business opportunities.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. You must have previous experience within a multi-site facilities management role and have a strong understanding of service charge budget management. The ability to coordinate and manage the onsite contractors is essential, as is the capability to negotiate 'best price'. The ideal candidate will be a BIFM member and will have worked within a managing agent environment.
