Title: Building Surveyor

Location: Hertfordshire

Salary: £25,000 - £33,000 + Car Allowance

Our client, a leading residential estate management company, are seeking a degree qualified or chartered surveyor, to join their head office in Hertfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established organisation at an exciting time of growth.

As Building Surveyor, you will join a team of surveyors who provide in-house surveying services to a large portfolio of managed estates across England and Wales.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking fire risk and health and safety assessments of blocks of flats across the south of England and South Wales.
  • Contract administration of redecoration and refurbishment works.
  • Inspecting and reporting upon building defects, and implementing remedial works,
  • Providing advice to the estate management team and the in-house legal department on building technology.

The ideal candidate will have ideally be MRICS Chartered with a minimum 1 year PQE. However, they would be interested in candidates who are undertaking their APC, which they can offer support with. You will also ideally have a qualification in fire risk assessment, and/or NEBOSH level or equivalent in health and safety.

On offer is a salary up to £33,000 + car allowance, with a company pension and healthcare scheme which the successful candidate will be eligible to join after completing 6 months probation.
