Description
A leading firm of chartered surveyors who offer property advice have instructed Beach Baker to recruit a new rating surveyor to join their expanding team.
We are seeking candidates with a sound knowledge of rating appeal work. You will have preferable worked within a private practice rating department or for the Valuation Office Agency (VOA). The successful candidate will be working with many retained clients, which include occupiers such as leading retailers, leisure operators, large corporates to name a few.
We can consider candidates who have a professional general practice background, especially in Landlord & Tenant. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail and build arguments for rate reductions and therefore have good negotiation skills, you will also be able to handle large volume of caseloads at one time and have the ability to think quickly and effectively.
The responsibilities of the role will include undertaking rating appeals on commercial properties including negotiating appeals submitted, provision of rating appeal strategies, rate liability mitigation strategies, and identifying vacant rate initiatives.
On offer is a salary range of up to £50,000 + Car + Benefits, depending on experience and level.
